The Mature Dark Winter

If you have been wearing colors like Berry a la Mode, Merlot, Mystic Plum, or Nutmeg and find they seem a bit dark or blah, try the brighter/lighter colors below the arrow to see if they will give you a more youthful appearance.

Tip: If you want to change a lip color slightly, rather than mixing it with another lip color, just line your lips and fill them in with Plum lip liner. It also helps the lipstick last longer. Another good option if you want lip liner but don’t want to change the color is Mary Kay’s Clear lip liner.

If you have been wearing darker blushes like Dark Cherry or a duller one like Cherry Blossom, try the color options to the right of the arrows. Medium to Darker skin tones can easily move to Bold Berry, while lighter tones may prefer the Strawberry Cream. Bold Berry seems darker than Cherry Blossom, but it has brighter pigments, which is what you are looking for. Try both to see which you like. Maybe you’ll like both.

Again, because each Dark Winter woman is unique, these color suggestions may not work on every Dark Winter. Try the colors to see what works for you.
